data.bythebay.io: Dinesh Narayanan, Building realtime efficient queries in an IOT platform

SAMI needs to ingest, serve and take realtime decisions at a large scale. In this talk he shows briefly:
* How to build scalable queries using Cassandra, Redis and Elastic search.
* High performance batch jobs using Apache parquet columnar storage format.
* Trade offs between idempotent writes and Streaming counters real time.

Code and libraries

search-engine - A mini search engine with a GUI and backed with Redis

A final student project written in Java (backend by Jedis) that promote "High speed searching guaranteed with pre-indexed web pages stored in Redis" :')

aof-rs - Redis appendonly file filter

Read an aof file and extract keys, commands and so on using filters. Written in Rust.

log-view - A Log viewer from data in redis. Updated realtime

Based on NodeJS (but docker container is available through docker-compose), still a little harsh (you may want to edit the code to make it work) but it can help.

redis_memtop - Display memory usage of redis keys

This is a simple script to show relative memory usage of keys is redis database. You can pass FILTER as an argument which will be supplied to the KEYS redis command to filter keys which interest you. The default is '*', to display all the keys.
